Huda Kattan Takes Back Full Control of Huda Beauty

Huda Kattan is taking her power back. And with that, her entire business. In a move that feels both bold and deeply personal, the beauty mogul has officially bought back full ownership of Huda Beauty. Ending her eight-year partnership with TSG Consumer Partners. Back in 2017, TSG took a minority stake in the brand. Fast forward to 2025, and Huda has reclaimed every bit of it, making the brand one of the rare founder-fully-owned brands in the beauty world today.

“Taking back full ownership of Huda Beauty is a deeply very important moment for me,” Huda said in a statement. “It says that while many of us dreamers have visions that we are told are too big or not possible to do alone, in actuality, you have all the power you need to change the world yourself!”

From Blog to Empire: Huda Beauty’s Journey

From what started as a beauty blog in 2010 to launching her first product—false lashes, naturally—in Sephora Dubai with a $6,000 loan from her sister Alya, Huda has gone on to build one of the biggest beauty empires in the last 10 years. Under Huda Kattan’s guidance, Huda Beauty expanded rapidly. Earning a reputation for innovative products and inclusive shades that resonated globally.

Now, with her husband, Christopher Goncalo, serving as co-CEO and her sister, Alya Kattan, leading social strategy, the brand is once again a full family affair. This structure underscores HB’s commitment to authenticity and community, values that have defined the brand since its inception.

A New Era Focused on Community and Creativity

Huda’s focus now? Doubling down on community, authenticity, and products that speak to the real people wearing them. “This brand was built on passion, creativity, and a desire to challenge the beauty industry,” Huda added in her statement. “As we step into this new chapter, I’m more committed than ever to pushing boundaries, staying true to our roots. And showing up for our incredible community every step of the way.”

With full ownership restored, the brand can move forward without outside influence, allowing Huda Kattan to make swift decisions about new launches, branding, and product development. A fresh logo already hints at upcoming collections, and fans eagerly anticipate what new innovations will come from this next era.

Splitting from Kayali and What’s Ahead

The news of Huda Kattan reclaiming Huda Beauty comes four months after she revealed she was parting ways in business with her sister Mona Kattan and their fragrance brand, Kayali. Both brands were founded by Huda and Mona Kattan. First Huda over a decade ago, followed by Kayali in 2018, which previously sat under the Huda Beauty empire. Now, Huda Beauty stands alone, ready to chart its own course under its founder’s vision.

With a founder fully at the wheel, HB is all set for expansion and innovation. The Dubai-founded brand, built on grit and creativity, is stepping into its next era. With a new sense of purpose and passion.
