The Euro 2024 final is finally over. Spain proved it could beat England at its own game! It rebounded and fought head-to-head in the European Championship final to defeat the English team 2-1 in Berlin.
Three minutes and forty-nine minutes after Nico Williams gave Spain the lead, Mikel Oyarzabal scored. England’s hopes were momentarily raised when Cole Palmer leveled the game in the 73rd minute.
This is England’s second consecutive defeat in the Euro final. Italy let down The Three Lions, the previous time, who prevailed in a shootout. England’s last major men’s trophy victory dates back to the World Cup in 1966.
Having won four European Championships in 1964, 2008, 2012, and now 2024, Spain is the first team to achieve so.
