Ravens Edge Out Bengals in Epic 35-34 Finish with Last-Minute Defensive Stand

Table of Content

Lamar Jackson’s precision and a daring defensive stand in the closing seconds helped Baltimore defeat the Bengals 35-34 in Thursday night’s Ravens vs Bengals game. Joe Burrow of Cincinnati had a season-high performance, but the Ravens won in the end against the Bengals, surviving missed calls and controversy to secure the victory.

How the Ravens Pulled Off This Thrilling Win

The Bengals versus. Baltimore Ravens game was intense from the beginning. The Ravens’ defense found it difficult to keep up with Joe Burrow’s accurate passes and Ja’Marr Chase’s explosive receptions. Zay Flowers, a star for Baltimore, made an impression, though, with important grabs that kept the Ravens in the game. Baltimore won the close game thanks in part to Derrick Henry’s significant on-field statistics.

Even though they had a season full of impressive games, the Cincinnati Bengals were unable to win this time. The Bengals had an opportunity to improve their record and postseason prospects in an NFL Week 10 matchup, but Baltimore’s reliability eventually held them at bay.

Key Plays and Controversial Calls

The Bengals’ dreams of a comeback were dashed when Joe Burrow’s last-second two-point conversion try was declared incomplete. Fans and experts alike were divided on Burrow’s throw to Tanner Hudson, which seemed dubious as Hudson’s hands touched the ball, but no defensive holding or face mask penalty was imposed. Both Jackson and Ja’Marr Chase spearheaded a scoring spree earlier in the game, with Jackson recording 290 throwing yards and Chase recording an outstanding 264 receiving yards.

Baltimore’s offense, led by Jackson’s accurate accuracy and Zay Flowers’ steady hands, overturned a 21-7 deficit with four straight touchdown drives. Baltimore’s victory in the last quarter was further cemented by Derrick Henry’s tenacious ground play.

The Turning Point in Ravens vs Bengals

When Chase Brown of Cincinnati fumbled halfway through the third quarter, the momentum shifted. Baltimore had a short field as a result of this error, and they scored a vital touchdown to cut the deficit to 21–14. The Ravens took advantage of this change and made a strong return.

Jackson put on an incredible show; his incredible 10-yard scamper covered almost 60 yards on the field and allowed Derrick Henry to score a 1-yard touchdown. In the end, this play was important because it energized Baltimore’s attack and left Cincinnati’s defense reeling.
